Wanting to know when your memorial will be delivered to the cemetery is the most asked question. The average time for producing your grave stone is 3 to 4 weeks from the date of your order.
There are a few factors that can delay the production time of your headstone or monument.
- Photos – Adding a photo to your memorial is a very special and unique way to capture a special memory of your loved one. There are several different ways to include a portrait of your beloved on their grave marker. The most common is called a photo etch. This process can add an additional 2 weeks to the production time. Another option is a ceramic photo tile. The average time to generate a photo tile is approximately 4 weeks.
- Custom Orders – While we keep a large inventory on hand, it is nearly impossible to stock every size and color due to the different regulations of each cemetery. In some cases we will need to place a custom order for your head stone or monument. The average time for a custom order is approximately 90 – 120 days.
- Setting Fees/Authorizations – It is also important that the setting fees have been paid and the cemetery authorization forms have been completed. This may delay delivery of your tombstone to the cemetery; as the cemetery will not accept a marker until all of the paperwork has been completed. Please read our “Cemetery Rules and Regulations” article for more information.
